SINGAPORE, April 4th, 2025 – The U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) is excited to announce its participation in the FHA-Food & Beverage exhibition, taking place on April 8-11, 2025 at the Singapore Expo. Located in Hall 7, Booth #7B1-01, the USA Pavilion managed by USDEC will spotlight a curated selection of premium USA Cheeses, showcasing their innovation, versatility and quality.
Celebrating U.S. Cheesemakers
The U.S. cheese industry is known for its excellence, producing hundreds of varieties of cheese. As the world’s largest single-country cheese producer and exporter, U.S. cheesemakers are recognized internationally for their innovation and craftsmanship.
At FHA 2025, visitors will experience the diverse flavour profiles of USA Cheeses and learn how they can elevate local food and beverage offerings. Eight leading U.S. dairy suppliers will present their diverse portfolios, including Agropur, Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI), Dairy Farmers of America, First District Association, Schreiber Foods, Schuman Cheese, Talmera USA Inc., and Tropical Foods LLC.
U.S. Dairy: A Growing Presence in Southeast Asia
The U.S. is the world’s largest producer of cow’s milk, with over 9.4 million cows. In 2024, the U.S. exported over 17,000 metric tons of cheese to Southeast Asia, including key markets like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. As demand for premium cheese grows in the region, U.S. dairy is gaining recognition for its consistent quality and unique offerings.
Dali Ghazalay, Regional Director for USDEC in Southeast Asia, notes, “The success of USA cheeses at international competitions highlights their global appeal. We’ve identified a growing demand in Southeast Asia for high-quality cheeses, and we’re excited to offer innovative, award-winning options to this evolving market.”
The U.S. cheese community continues to earn international acclaim. In the 2024-2025 World Cheese Awards, U.S. producers won 160 medals, and at the 2024-2025 International Cheese Dairy Awards, they earned 84 medals. These achievements speak to the superior quality of USA cheeses, which are consistently recognized for their quality, innovation and craftsmanship.
Culinary Demonstrations by Chef Imran
To further showcase the versatility of USA cheeses, Chef Imran, Vice President of the Singapore Halal Culinary Federation and certified USA Cheese Specialist, will host daily culinary demonstrations at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Chef Imran will highlight the adaptability of USA cheeses across a variety of cuisines, with themes including:
- Day 1: Flavoured Cheeses – Experience innovative, award-winning flavoured cheeses that push the boundaries of traditional cheesemaking.
- Day 2: The Art of Melting and Browning – Learn techniques for the perfect melt and brown using various cheese varieties and formats.
- Day 3: American Originals – Discover advantages of cheese varieties that originate from the U.S.
- Day 4: Sweet Meets Savoury – Explore bold pairings of USA cheeses in Asian-friendly dishes.
